Aims, Scope, and Types of Papers
The Journal publishes original scientific and technical papers as well as other contributions within the interdisciplinary field of environmental engineering.
The scientific scope of the Journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:
- Geo-engineering and geotechnical engineering
- Water resources management and hydrotechnics
- Environmental protection technologies
- Waste management and remediation
- Air, soil, and water quality monitoring
- Sustainable development and climate adaptation
- Renewable energy systems and environmental impact assessment
- Environmental microbiology, bioremediation, and bioengineering approaches to pollution control
- Ecosystem monitoring, biodiversity conservation, and nature-based solutions in environmental management
The Journal takes an integrated approach to research, design, implementation, and application of scientific and technical solutions that contribute to sustainable environmental management and protection.
Upon acceptance, papers are categorized as follows:
- Original scientific paper – reports original theoretical or experimental research results. Data presented should be sufficient to allow reproduction of the experiments or verification of theoretical analyses.
- Preliminary communication – presents one or more new scientific results without the level of detail required for full verification. Typically used for ongoing research, progress reports, or concise studies of current interest.
- Review paper – provides a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art in a particular field, summarizing key developments, methods, and applications, and concludes with a detailed list of references.
- Technical paper – focuses on practical engineering experiences, case studies, or applications of existing methods and technologies relevant to the field of environmental engineering.
All papers are published following a positive peer review process.
